i really enjoyed the movie; unfortnately, it is not authentic in terms of the buildings portrayed --> where they laid their sacrificed bodies, who was sacrificed, and the fact that a full moon is impossible after a solar eclipse.
but, besides those issues, i thought the make-ups on the people to create the illusions of decades-old piercings, tattoos, and wounds was extremely creative and convincing. It had a great cast of nobodies who did their job well.
It was a refreshing movie in that it was about a movie on a civilization that is rarely a focal point in hollywood, but based on a semi-cookie-cutter storyline and cliche's.
not perfect, but i appreciated the work that went into the movie and enjoyed it.
