App controlled, over wifi or cellular

All I am looking for is a relay, that can be controlled by phone. But all the ones I see can only be done when on the wifi network. I want to be able to control a few things while at the office, is there something that can do this easily. The one below would work, but you have to configure a few things. I want something that is a little more user friendly.

I should mention, it should be low voltage. I literally want it to just open and close a relay, either latched or momentary.

a wemo switch can be connected to a wifi network, and using the wemo app on your phone (anywhere you have a data connection) that has been previously paired with the device.

You can hack it so that you just need to access a URL to turn it on or off. You'd need to configure your firewall or something to hit it from outside your LAN obviously.

not sure, i know i have the light switch version and it works great/ i can turn it on or off from anywhere in the world. even tried it from Vietnam and freaked the dog sitter out. haha

All the WeMo stuff can be controlled this way. I have two LED bulbs that I can control with my phone anywhere I have a data connection. In fact, that is the only way I can control them short of turning the lamp on or off. There is no web interface. Phone app only.

On the left side, look at the "Mobile Device" listings (Android or iPhone). You can choose the number of relays you need (including solid-state) & also what type of control you want. For your situation, you will probably want Internet control, which uses a port-forwarding system similar to DynDNS (unless you want to give it a public static IP address through your ISP). Pretty simple & straightforward!
