App suggestions for scanning receipts

I need an app that will scan receipts saved for tax purposes and let me importing them into Excel or whatever we need to do with them. My gf started a new job last year and she has been saving her receipts and need to process them for tax purposes.

Why doesn't the normal camera app work for this? Take a panoramic picture if you don't want to manually stitch them together.

I don't know, she was just wanting some kind of app to help with this. I don't know if she even will be using Excel, just guessing. Can you just take a pic of the receipt with your camera like normal and importing it in to Excel? Are there any apps you would recommend to handle receipts?

I mean, maybe this is a dumb assumption, but I am assuming Excel can handle an image file.

Second a camera. If you're looking for some kind of OCR stuff, there's about a 0% chance something like that would work well. You'd spend more time checking output than just keying it in in the first place.

My personal setup is the Scannable app on my iphone and Fujitsu ScanSnap ix500 scanner; everything is saved and tagged in Evernote.

Slightly clunky to use but otherwise works great.
