well that article is a little insane. bitching because a pool from 1930 is not used? or bobsled track?
But this is why i didn't want Chicago to get it. they would build these insane things and my tax's would go up.

Wow that's almost sad to see. Makes you wonder why they don't just start using it for something else. Who actually owns those buildings? Maybe it's a political issue. Perhaps after the Olympics the buildings should go to auction or something so private firms can buy them. Then again, look at 3rd world places like China, nobody would have the money for it, let alone have the money to operate them.
What happen to the Bird Nest in Beijing? that is a nice architecture design, they should convert it to condos or something.
