Anyone know if this is still going on? I called and the guy said 149 with no rebate. I need this deal REALLLLY bad because I'm on a budget.

I would try calling again and seeing if a different CSR says the same thing. If they are still saying this deal is no good, I'll change the thread title and kill this deal.

I have received mine. Thanks again for posting.

It is in two separate plastic covers. The two are attached together with a purple strip of paper that is sticky on one side and reads "mushkin" on the other side.
There is only a sticker on one of the two plastic covers with the UPC bar code on it. it looks very much like the ones attached to the RAM stick itself.

Is this what everyone else got too?

It looks a little bit cheap packaging of the RAM on the mushkin part!

I can peel off the UPC bar code from the plastic container instead of cutting it. Would that be OK?

I'd cut the plastic if it were me. I suppose you could peel it off and stick it on something else if you don't want to cut the plastic. Shouldn't really matter if you cut the plastic as long as you test the memory out and make sure it's working properly first.

from those pics, this is micron chips, so hey it has to be pretty good. atleast it is not some generic chips, it is MICRON the biggest and most trusted name in memory.

Well mine work like a charm. I even have the timings tightened to 2.5-3-3-8 with no extra voltage. I might try to tighten it to even lower timings

Yet, the rebate requires an original sales receipt!
What am I supposed to do? Will the packing list be accepted?

Yeah i am kind of wondering about that too...

I didn't even order this RAM and they sent it as a substitution. Now that I got it I can't find the rebate since the RAM has been pulled from the site.
