A laptop that can only have one app open at a time? WOW sounds great. Where do I sign up? What other phone have you had that hasn't worked with Exchange Servers???
One large con in a sea full of pros
There's more than one con but this isn't the thread for it,
I love that argument too. Are you really multitasking on a fucking WM phone? Kinda funny since of the 8 WM phones I had, every single one of them would crash on a regular basis, overheat, melt my hand, etc. But that sweet sweet multitasking was well worth it.
Or do you have multiple apps open and then split the 3" screen so you can look at them both at the same time? Sounds pretty sweet.
You know what you never, ever ever ever have to do with the iphone? Go to the task manager to close down 18 of the 40 apps running on a 300mhz cpu with 128mb ram that is melting the internals of the phone.
I'd rather have the choice to burn my hand off with 20 apps open if i want than have a company tell me what i can do and have on a phone. I've never had my hand melt off either but with recent iphones, it seems to be a problem. I've never had a winmo phone crash on me and 99% of the time when something crashes, the problem is PEBKAC. The AT&T network sucks as far as coverage and speed goes. Also i could never live without a physical keyboard. Having a spare battery in emergencies is pretty much needed as i cannot be without my phone at all. I also like to be able to expand my memory as i see fit and the slingbox is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
So how do you run 20 apps? Do you hook the phone up to an external monitor? Do you tile all 20 so they fit on the 3" screen? No? THen what the fuck is the point (only exception being pandora, but with an ipod its not that much of an issue)?
You must not use your phone much then, every "awesome" WM phone I've ever used (blackjack 1/2, half a dozen HTC, moto Q) has crashed... repeatedly.
Can't use ATT as an argument against the phone itself, ATT has the best coverage for me.
Sling is on the iphone. Everywhere I go I have wifi access.
You can buy a battery pack for it that works fine
Not having to deal with 17 different .5"x.5" sd cards is one of the greatest features of the iphone.
But thats not even the point. From a pure usability standpoint, the iphone destroys every other phone, easily. Best browser, best media capability (by 10000%), best interface, best apps, best games, best video editing (and only?).....so, yeah. I guess if being able to max out your 300 meg cpu with 15 apps, 11 of which you're not using, is your idea of a great phone....then there's no point in arguing. I'll take all of the above listed and deal with a few minor shortcommings over having to use a shitty WM type phone.
