No, they'll just start hating Anand.
You mean people didn't already hate the goofy looking bald guy, and now they have a reason to since he sold out to Apple?
No, they'll just start hating Anand.
Does this mean that ATOT will suddenly love Apple products now?
Why does Apple need a reviewer, however good they are?Apple is lucky to get him. Anand is the most comprehensive reviewer in the industry.

Is there any news on what position he's getting?
Love Apple or hate them it matters not, they are generally pretty bright when it comes to recruiting talent. I would speculate that Apple will be moving forward with a more interactive social media presence, perhaps Anand will be a part of that. He has a great reputation of being comprehensive in his reviews without being patronizing or condescending to end users looking to gain knowledge. The ability to relate to the average end user is a big and valuable commodity.

You guys are ridiculous. Of all journalists out there, Anand is the only one whose reputation is impeccable. He's already stated that they'll be a very distinct firewall between him and editorial content on the site. This is the one guy I trust when something like that is said.
No it doesn't.It certainly does explain his gushing love over crapple products over the past couple of years.
i dont consider it selling out....
mostly because i ditched M$ years ago
and apple runs on the *nix backend
and i'm exlcuse *nix nowdays....
rock on Anand......i remember when this place was small.
throw a homedog a bone someday?

This, people sure devote a lot of time to the dislike of Apple here. If you bash Google you get the "then don't use them" crap, but with Apple you can't use the "then don't buy them" line.No it doesn't.
I think his positive opinion on most Apple products is because he thought they were good. And I would agree.
... but with Apple you can't use the "then don't buy them" line.

Ah, yes, the common mindset that dehumanizes those who we don't have to see every day in exchange for not having to care about the destroyed lives of others at the expense of our convenience. I've worked for ones that don't.
The last thing that Apple seems to need help with is their social media presence. Practically every tech blog in the universe stops what they're doing and shifts over to 99% Apple coverage every time they do a new product announcement.
What he (and Apple) should really should be doing trying to assist the helpless technophobic morons in the mainsteam media (particularly the local news outlets) understand Apple's new product features. They always seem to make fools of themselves and botch all of the technicial details when they do a news story on a new iDevice.
In other news, Monster Cable is in talks to merge with Apple. Future components will be branded "Apple Monster", and carry an apple eating monster logo.
