That's a fact, and perfectly good thing to say. I've heard from many that ipod's battery life is only half of its rated life.

ipod life i believe is ~18months or so (according to that video distributed all over the internet)

however, replacement batteries ($30 for gen1/2 and $40 for gen3) are available online.

AHHHH! STUPID APPLE! Just days after I order the 10GB model and it goes out of stock they are now offering the 15GB for only $30 more plus it includes the dock, remote, and carrying case I swear they held back on the 15 intentionally

Call back for price protection. I ordered a 20GB shortly before they dropped the prices and they refunded me back $30 to my CC.

Yeah, but I ordered the 10GB, not the 15 so I don't see how I qualify for price protection

The 10GB was $200 when I bought my 20GB if I remember correctly. Now it's $169.

$169, but when you look at just the price of the dock ($30) the 15GB refurb is just an astounding deal right now

I agree with the 15 GB refurb deal - I almost ordered a 10 yesterday...glad I changed today:shocked:

I just had too many Itunes from Pepsi not to get one....

At Fry's, it was $249 for the 15GB, and $299 for the 20GB w/iDock and case.

I decided to get the new 20GB 4th gen iPod from the Apple Education store for $269.00, as it comes with a much needed USB 2 cable (otherwise it's $20 for the extra firewire+usb 2.0 cable from Apple).

Help a guy out. Can you put any mp3 you personally encoded or downloaded onto the ipod or is only music bought through their store allowed? Read some articles that confused me. Thinking of getting an ipod but that would be a huge issue
