Frankly I think hating of Apple and Apple products is just sheer ignorance. Just because some of their users border on being Zealots does not dismiss that they do make some good products, and clearly they make the best and most supported MP3 products out there as of right now. So people just need to get a grip. Here's an idea: If you don't want an Ipod, go post somewhere else instead of flaming this thread

I heard it was samsung which is interesting being they are one of apples competitors, I wonder if they'll release a similar player using flash memory.

Yay!
Mine's already shipped.
It's coming from SHENZHEN China.

Damn, I hope it's not "made in china" quality.

Mine just shipped! Along with the armband so the wif can run with it. The headphone lanyard looks pretty cool too. Nice design, but I can just see people in the city getting it ripped from their necks.

Ahh, that makes sense!

Still, is there any quality issues with iPod since it's made in China?
Just wondering.
I've always tried to steer clear from electronics made anywhere else than Korea and Japan.

We have all these experts here so I have to ask a question.

I was going to get the 60gb version because that would fit my entire collection. (i think)

But $400 is still out of my price range and I don't listen to all those songs. I do however hover over 1000 songs on itunes on my computer.

What if you run out of space? Do you pick which songs you want and don't want to sync?

I just feel that there are many people out there trying to decide which MP3 player to purchase. If your so-called "Zealots" can speak so highly of iPods, then why can't I get in here and say "iPods are kinda craptastic when you look at bang for buck, especially when you can get something better from Creative for the same price"?

God forbid I try to help out my fellow consumer ;p

I go to the U of Arizona and they sell these at our bookstore for 179/229 with 5.6% tax. Being a student can have it's advantages sometimes. I called and they'll have them in stock monday.

That's the same price as ordering from apple.com with the student discount

also, for 1/2/3G iPod owners, you also have that GC coming in (if you opted for GC) so it might be worth waiting for that.

//krunk (^_^x)

GC?

apple's giving $25 store copuon for 3G owners and $50 store coupon for 1/2G owners for the battery settlement.

//krunk (^_^x)

Has anyone gotten these yet? I sent in my paper work a few months ago and have since heard nothing.

I visited a compusa store today and one of their employees were flaunting the ipod nano to any one that even walked near him. One couple saw one and said they heard about it and picked up two black one's right away. I got to play with it for a while. I walked away absolutely stunned at the size of this baby. It's ultra thin, the wheel is just like it's bigger brothers and it's got a color screen. I was very tempted to buy one on the spot!

I couldn't resist. I was in in love with my 20gb 4G Ipod and sold it as soon as I saw this baby. I tend to go listen to my ipod at the gym and when I run so the size will go perfectly with my listening habits. 4gb is all I really need in an mp3 player anyway... I'll never shuffle through 1000 songs. Placed my order for the 4gb black nano and it should be here by next Thursday. I'm pumped!
