Apple Juice or Apple Cider

Funny you say that...I'm drinking a glass of that right now, and since it tastes so much like cider, it inspired this post.

Apple Juice in no way tastes like apples, unless its the Simply Apple brand. Cider and REAL Apple Juice (Simply Apple), taste like deliciousness, they have that mealy apple taste, like you are eating an apple, without actually eating an apple.
That's why Cider takes the top spot - it's like drinking an apple. Nothing beats that.

Most "ciders" are really just juice. Blech.

I love real cider, you know, the goldenish clear kind with bubbles and an alcoholic punch. The best I've ever drunk is brewed regionally across Normandy, france. The apples there are poor for eating but make the best cider in the world. You haven't lived until you've stood on a hot sunny day under an umbrella, sipping real Normandy cider with some cheese and bread.

So I'm confused. I have a bottle of Mott's apple JUICE that is 100% juice, with no other ingredients, yet it is much clearer then Simply Apple, and tastes far different. What's the difference, it's really just that they're picked earlier?

Differences in pressing/filtering techniques. Grocery store "cider" is not fermented like real alcoholic cider. Real cider has lots of sediment that settles to the bottom of the bottle so pouring properly is essential.

Nothing beats a fresh New England apple cider. I like in an apple orchard town and boy is fall an amazing time to live here. We even have an Apple Festival every year

I like both but cider is preferred. Really good cider is surprisingly hard to find. I remember back home in the fall when you could get home made apple cidar, damn I miss that.
