A further update on my MacMall order: I ordered yesterday (Saturday) morning around 9am PST, and at 10:30pm, I got an email saying the order had been shipped, complete with tracking number. Guess they weren't lying about having them in stock, and kudos to them for processing and shipping my order on a Saturday...

Make sure to add your Free Epson C86 printer on your original apple order.
We ordered ours the first day possible at http://store.apple.com
and overlooked the free printers, but Apple was kind enough to add the
printers to our original order and they arrived in 2 days (even before the

Just bought iWork for $39.50 (Gov't & educator's discount). I'm anxious to dump
M$ Powerpoint for Keynote 2 and M$ Word for Pages which I also have but am
ready to "move up" to the next level with iWork.

The free printer promo isn't good for mini Mac's. If you look at the fine print on the PDF, the mini is not listed as an acceptable Mac purchase.

The Mac Mini is explicityly mentioned at the top right of:

I suspect Mac Minis are not mentioned on the pdf as they were announced
after the pdf was printed. Apple told me my Mac Minis each qualified for a
$100 rebate on the $100 EPSON color printers, making the printers free.

The Mini Mac is listed on the bar on the right hand side because that gives shortcuts for people to click on to buy any of their Mac products.

If Apple was going to open this up to ANY new Mac purchase, they wouldn't have spelled out the fact that it had to be one of the 4 mentioned in the PDF. They would have specified any new Mac system purchased through eligible vendors and left it at that.

If you have some other way to back up your claim, let us know....I bought a mini and I want my printer. But according to their form we're not eligable, so I'm not going to be the fool to bite.
