I don't know about that. Some people will value the larger screen over the other features. It wouldn't be the way I would go but I am sure some will.

You don't need to hold the Air as close as the mini. The 264 ppi on the Air won't be a significant issue. In case people are having a hard time deciding between the iPad mini retina and the air, remember that the PPI is much better on the mini.
326 ppi vs 264 ppi.
Just food for thought. I've made up my mind already.

I don't think you can buy a PCIe SSD.
But the 13 rMBP was laggy in general UI, no? Kinda like Android phones
Yeah, but that's testing on an Air, without Retina. The HD5000 is definitely better than the HD4000:

I'm tempted to order the 13", but I'd like to see a (p)review of the Retina 13" with HD 5000.
Edit.
These guys say it is totally smooth unlike the previous model.

The new 13" rMBP's have the Intel "Iris" graphics which are the HD 5100 right?
Need help deciding on air or pro laptop 13:". Looking to jump into apple ecosystem with a 5s and either laptop. I really do prefer the air and its battery life. But people going on about retina, retina, retina. Basically I would sell either base model whether is air or pro for the 2014 MBAir next year. Seems like the choice is the pro to tide me over until, but is retina really that important at the cost of so much battery life?
Mavericks is very nice on my rPro! Probably a placebo effect but animations and UI performance seem improved on both DGPU and IGPU.
Multimonitor enhancements are greatly appreciated as well!

I see an improvement too and I've been using Mavericks since DP 1
I don't think it's a placebo
Correct. I'm actually debating on getting rid of ny current laptop (11" Sager w/ GT 650m) and picking up a new 13" MBP
Thanks, so the HD 5100 in the 13" rMBP is even better than the HD 5000 in the MBA 13"....but has to drive a way higher res. Either way, the lag issues in the 13" rMBP should now be fixed it seems.
Man, like others have said the 13" rMBP is now a very tempting machine. I'm eyeing the standard $1499 model (Core i5-2.4GHz, 8GB, 256GB) or upgrading that one to 16GB of RAM (but for $200 more....dang).
That ipad rMini price is absolutely absurd. And iPad 2? You have GOT to be kidding me. I feel like apple trolled us. Especially when you can get a Nexus 7 for a little over 200$.
I love apple hardware but I hope that bites them in the rear. Stupid, so stupid.
It's not all about the hardware. You're also paying for the (IMO) much better ecosystem and OS. Android is generally a mess, especially the phones. Now with Mavericks the iOS and OSX integration is better too.
iOS is leagues ahead of Android in the things that matter most to the majority of buyers. Those buyers do NOT frequent tech forums.
