this is true.
you would think the big ones would come over more.
but i really believe apple is trying to market to a crowd that
1. cares nothing about games.
2. strongly desires cheap + easy music, video and textual editing.
3. like to be hip.
seriously, that 3rd one sounds like a microsoft fanboi, but its hard to deny the lack of usefulness in some situations vs. the design.
in summary: if you want games, dont go mac.
apple laptops, though, are super-reliable. hard to screw up and, while more expensive, tend to hold up better.
i have been working with apple computer in a school district...thats 3-5 grade children drooling on, smashing up and just plain filth propogating...and they still hold up. they tend to make alot of mistakes in order to come out quickly...most recent problem has been chronic key invisibility thanks to a new, cheaper ink on the keys.
two things on mainaining them...
replacing apple parts can be expensive and i believe their laptop design was based loosley on the cube in the Hellraiser series.
but! if apple acknoledges they f-ed up (much more often than other companies) they DO something about it.
see battery recall and motherboard free replacement.
i like them...but if you like games and dont own any consoles, not the laptop for you.
price is also tricky...but worth it in quality.
