Approximately 1 week ago now, bought the Pro Apps bundle and have only installed Final Cut Pro X. Might not be keeping the Macbook and therefore will have no real need for the Pro Apps. Based on Apple's fine print, it looks like electronic downloads, opened/installed software are non-refundable. Just wondering if there are any exceptions if I call Apple and ask for a refund and de-activation of the codes? They would know it's no longer being used by tracking online right?

Short of refund, am I able to include the Pro Apps bundle with the sale of my Macbook? Or can I transfer the ownership of the Pro Apps?

What about the Final Cut Pro X I installed already (the other apps I haven't installed or applied the codes), which is tied to my Apple account. Is there any way to associate it to a different email account/address so that I can sell the Pro Apps to someone else and not have to give them my personal Apple email account? I was wanting to create a new email and associate the Pro Apps with that instead.

Any other ideas?

https://support.apple.com/contact is your best bet. Explain them the situation and they'll see what they can do about your purchase.

I don't believe you can transfer the ownership of the Pro apps to someone else. They are tied to your Apple ID - however you can change your Apple ID email address by going to https://appleid.apple.com and sign into your account. There, it will give you the option to change your email address.

Contact Apple support and ask for a refund--you'd be amazed at the lengths they'll go to help customers out.

The software is non-transferable, unfortunately. Buried deep in the fine print of the end-user licensing agreement, you'll find that you don't actually "own" the software in the traditional sense. You've purchased a non-transferable, limited, (probably revocable) license merely to use the software.

In fact, the terms of the licensing agreement technically require you to delete the software before selling the mac that it's installed on.

It sucks and pretty much all software companies do this
