Can anyone confirm this? This would be great for me as the 30" Apple may sit too high and only offers a tilt fuction. Since Apple dropped there LCD price, I bet Dell will drop their price pretty soon. And if the Dell can drop all the way down, I'll probably get that one.

Yes it can sit about an inch off the table or whatever. This one I'm on now was has the misfortune of sitting on a barracuda firewall and *just fit* height wise. If it were not for the height adjustment it would not fit safely. (everything here has to be secured down)

NICE! I think I'm back on teh Dell side. Most people wouldn't even care about this, but this is big for me. Viper, if you have the contact for wipro, I might be good to go.

Hey, is anyone in here going to throw a fit now that I'm think about going with the Dell?

It's by far the better choice, but I thought wipro ended their dell association a while ago; hopefully I'm wrong. Please post if you're able to order through wipro, I'd rather do that than ebay.

As predicted, Dell just dropped their price on the 3007. $1899 -- $100 less than the Cinema Display. With a 35% coupon, that's about what I've been waiting for...

Anybody have a clue if or when these large-resolution monitors will get HDCP support? I'd hate to shell out 2 grand on a monitor only to not be able to view 1080p if the HD players require HDCP to display at that resolution... That makes me all the more hesitant to pull the trigger.

Gee, I've only been watching this thing for 6 months, why do you suppose I never saw HDCP in the specs before?

Getting old and feeble I guess. *sigh*

Thanks!

(Impatiently waiting for that 35% coupon to arrive in my inbox...)

If there is a 35% coupon, I'll buy it right then!
