I just got mine. My CPU came out stuck to the AMD stock heatpipe cooler when I removed it, but a screwdriver pried it away. Installed easily, although I had to pull it once and put it back, but there was enough paste that it worked out fine.

It's quiet. Very quiet. My idle temps are at about 35C (31C ambient), on an Opteron 165 OC'ed to 2.25GHz 24/7. I'll push it to see if I get a new max (it's stable at 2.5 GHz, but I have no need to run 24x7 so I don't).

nice deal, this cooler is top notch I have the 775 version and it's like 10 degrees cooler than the retail HSF.

You can check out the Cooler Master Hyper TX2 at NewEgg. Performance is identical and it used to be $20 after shipping, taxes, and rebate. I don't know what it is now, though.

That and the Arctic Cooler Freezer 7 Pro are the best deals you can get. Seriously, this is insane.

Awesome HSF, I had one in my Opty 165 setup, and it was really quiet even at full speed. When I upgraded to a C2D E4400 a few weeks back, I picked up the 775 version, and now that it has PWM, it's even better. With the stock C2D fan, running at 3GHz, I would hit 60C+ after an hour of so of Orthos. With the Freezer 7 Pro, it never hits more than 50C, even after 10+ hours.

Well worth the money IMO, I shall buy more as I need them. A bargain for $10 more IMO.

775 version can be a pain in the ass to install tho.

NE had it on sale for $25 - 15 rebate and free shipping. I have AC Freezer Pro in my rigs and I like them a lot. It may not be the best air cooler money can buy, but for $22 it's a bargain. I haven't used the Hyper TX so I can't comment on the actual performance compared to
Freezer Pro; but the reviews have been pretty positive. My experience with CM rebates have also been good in the past.

According to Frostytech, the ultra 90 is better.

For silence, I love Nexus fans, but these Zalmans will work well too at a much lower price.</blockquote>

I use the AMD heatpipe with the thermistor shorted. Check out the ranking at Frosty Tech with the fan on high. Number 3 on the list. Not bad. The Arctic Cooling is quieter on high though.

you can use the AC 92mm : ) it'll only fit one way with the wire clips. you'll figure it out... but it DOES. it's cooler and quieter than the stock hs/fan on my 4800+.

i wonder whether the AC 120mm can also be fitted on the ultra 120.
