arctic cooling nv5

ive just got a BFG 6800 GT - but shes not quiet stable at ultra speeds
the BFG uses some TRICK HSF on it, but IMHO its all show and no bite, i reccon i could hit ultra stable with a new HSF.
im looking at the arctic cooling NV5, anyone had any joy with these?

Ive got one of those on my eVGA 6800 GT and you can go past ultra speeds providing you have some arctic silver 5, and some patience. I recommend it, but if you went with the GT because of 1 slot its totally defeating the purpose. Its 30 or so bucks that saves you ~150 bucks in the long run. Hope that helps.

My BFG 6800 GT OC temps really didn't go down much with the NV5 but it's sure alot quieter. I'm running mine @ 400/1100. I used the thermal paste that came with it.

I'm using one on my eVGA 6800GT and it dropped temps a tiny bit.What's more important is that the temp's remain more stable during the course of operation of the video card and it's very very quiet compared to the stock cooling solution.My card doesn't exceed 58-59C even when under full load playing FarCry,JOPS etc.I barely exceeded 60C at full overclock 400/1100.Room to spare.
Honestly I don't think you'll find any conventional cooling solution that will drastically drops a 6800's GPU temp's more than the NV Silencer5.Combined with AS5 thermal paste,it's a winning solution for the 6800 series cards.I'm very happy with mine.
