LOL. It's short for VGA SILencer. In case you weren't joking.Originally posted by: Salvador
I don't know.. Anything that has a part number of Vagasil has got me worried. Isn't that something for females?

The Zalman isn't hard to install. It just takes a little time is all. I installed one watching ER a few weeks ago and I'd probably be faster at it the second time around. If I wouldn't have just purchased the Zalman, I might've bitten on this one. Looks decent if the fan is really "silent" in the slower mode. Its actually fairly easy to install, much easier than the Zalman.
Of course I was joking. When I went to SVC's site and glanced at the model number, it kind of struck me funny.LOL. It's short for VGA SILencer. In case you weren't joking.

yeah, but you have to keep putting it on for 7 days before you see results...
Does anyone know how noisy they are with the fan set to low? I love the idea of the Zalman because it's fanless (silent). I don't overclock my cards, so a passive hs is fine for me. If you can't hear the fan on this thing in the low speed setting, I might be interested in trying one though. If you don't mind the noise of a fan...

That's the problem. I HATE the noise of the cheap stock fans on video cards. That's why I went with the Zalman. The VGA Silencer would have to be close to silent on the slower fan mode for me to consider it.On high, it is no louder than the stock HS, even quieter on low setting. Look here....Arctic-Cooling VGA Silencer info
It is. Low rpm mode is 1200 rpm. I had a Zalman ZM80A and prefer this one. It directly removes the GPU heat from the case instead of just radiating it like the Zalman.Originally posted by: Salvador
