No this is hot.....wait I mean cool. The folks @ arctic silver have done their homework and have invented a standard by which others are to be judged. I still have 50 or so applications remaining on my Arcticsilver version 1 ! All the serious overclockers and tinkerers swear by their products. Good reputation, new product, and geeky as hell specifications, I say BUMP.

If you visit their site, they have links for reviews on the AS3. Doesn't seem to shabby... Gets about a 2 deg C lower than AS2.

I bought some ARctic Silver II off of Ebay. How can I tell if this stuff is the real thing? The label and plastic syringe look legit. However, what concerned me is that there was a piece of scotch tape on the label. Does it normally come with the scotch tape? Also, what is the stuff suppose to look like (besides just silver)?

I saw a review that claimed a 5 degree temp difference between AS2 and AS3. I dont know anyone who has ever used an entire tube of this stuff it lasts forever, but then again your supposed to re-apply after every 3 months and most people (myself included) dont.

Why would Arctic Silver 3 or any other expensive thermal grease evaporate more quickly than silicone-based thermal grease (25+ years on my audio amplifier)?

Too bad I can't put this goop on my walls at home and cool my apartment down in the summer... doesn't matter what A/C I have... the 12 foot ceilings are a killer. 10 degrees cooler would be nice.
