Has anyone used it yet? I've seen some fairly interesting claims about how good it is but don't want to pork-out $18 for it if it's just MOTS.

I just applied some, it was definitely better than the thermal goop that'd been on there for 2 years. about 5c better.

$18? What, are you buying in bulk? Just get a small tube for $6 or $7 bucks and give it a whirl .... it's really very good stuff, works great for me.

Easier to spread in what way, if I may ask? I heard that it's a good idea to clean your heatsink and core with fingernail polish remover before you mud. Is there a way that works better?

it is thicker in consistency. i find it easier than AS3 and AS2

I hope so. just ordered some.

AS2 was really thick and grainy and thus hard to spread evenly and thinly, so I think they were trying to fix that with 3, but they sorta over did it because 3 is so slippery that even with TONS of pressure being applied by the hs clip, it usually slides around on the core when you're using 3.
