Dang, wish I would have saw that when I placed my order there last night. I got some shin-etsu stuff instead, but I would have loved to try that. I might just order a tube of it anyways.

I used the original when I put the full water block on my HD 5850 and it seems to work pretty good. Was kinda hard to work with tho as it's pretty sticky and kinda hard to spread....But I guess under the circumstances it's for the best anyways!

It isn't the easiest thing in the world to spread, but I always looked at it as a once and done type of thing. I didn't mind spending a few extra minutes getting a good thin layer, and it never seems to dry up or need re-applied after long periods of time. I just took apart an old AMD Winchester system I built my parents years ago and the Ceramique still looked like I just applied it a few days ago.

What I really liked about it was the fact that it didn't separate. Most other TIM's I tried would either separate requiring a good stir before using after it sat awhile in the syringe or they would just lose effectiveness over time (meaning in the syringe, not under the HSF). I'm pretty sure I've had this same 22g tube of the original for almost 6 years and I still just pop the cap and apply with no hassle. Not to mention it's an all-in-one type of paste you can use for just about anything.

Radio Shack, at least in NC, seems to keep a regular stock of Ceramique on hand. I've used it on several build/upgrades without issue. I've also used Ceramique in automotive applications for distributor mounted ignition modules(Chevy HEI and Ford TFI). Ceramique can stand up to the heat considerably better than most other thermal pastes out there while still allowing great heat transfer.

Good stuff!
