Arctic Silver too old?

Next week I'll be putting together a new system and was wondering if the 3+ year old tube of Arctic Silver in my desk is okay to use. It does not appear to have hardened... at least that I can tell. I honestly cannot remember just how thick it was when new.

Should be fine at 3 years but these days the hot new TIM is Arctic MX4.

Just make sure the solvent has not separated in the tube.

Give it a vigorus shake and run the stuff from the top out.

I've had some Shin-etsu laying around for that long and used it. This year I finally decided to buy some new TIM, went with tim consultants quantum. Dirt cheap and works great.

The other thing you need to check for besides hardening is make sure it didnt separate out.

That must be the original stuff, right? That stuff was hard to work with then, imagine how hard it is to work with over 12 years old

Thanks to everyone for your replies. I think I will use the old Artic Silver even though the Hyper 212 has something from Cooler Master included with it.
