Yeah, because people who buy Beats really love carrying around equalizers with them.Seriously, if you like an exaggerated EQ bass curve, save your money and don't buy Beats. Buy a nice pair of accurate Sennheisers and take the left over money to purchase a digital EQ (hardware or software.)

Did you mean the Mad Dogs which are based on the Fostex T50RP?Plan on trying out the MrSpeakers selection this summer during the DC hifi meet up. I believe MrSpeakers is one of the sponsors, and if not I know several people who are bringing their own.
I would love to hear them, but knowing they are based off $130 headphones, it's hard to drop $450 for a pair... even if they are modded to hell.

I thought it was only $299 : https://mrspeakers.com/product/mad-dog-leather-alpha-pads-comfort-strap
lol at the hardware idea. Software EQ's are not available for every device nor do they all offer the correct hz frequencies or have the right curve desired. Boosting say 32hz also boosts everything below it you can't hear, too steep and it thuds with the wrong music. Beats, like most uses a signature wave, it's a variety of subtle fluctuations in various frequencies that give a "signature sound" that most every maker has, I don't think anyone uses a completely flat signal, not sure if speakers can even do a flatline but all the flatter signals sound lifeless imo. Also not all "accurate" HP's are capable of handling much, if any boost at all from non amplified devices.
So much fail here.
I'm taking about using a dedicated amp with a computer. Although there are actually dedicated portable amps that have fairly close quality to dedicated ones.
Quite frankly, walking down the street with huge cans looks foolish to me, it's an invitation to get robbed or much worse. This whole thread is fail.
Irrational fear or you live in the ghetto. Just try not to look too white while being alone in an alley way and you'll do fine.
I'm not going to play this game. Do you have access to Google? Or try watching the news sometime.
Violent crimes have been going down for decades, the media just sensationalizes the few stories that are still out there.
They are hand made by Dr. Dre. They are the best in the industry by far, and well worth their price tag.
