Honestly I'll say the following:
I want a truly corporate, tie wearing, fancy office building environment
I want the opportunity to command a very good salary based on years worked
I want a job with decent travel
As for the work itself, my happiest moment was when I was able to interact with the chief engineer of a major engineering firm and provide him with a solution.
McKinsey calls their entry level consulting staff "business analysts" and pay in the $75k range for it. These people are typically fresh out of undergrad though.

Meh. I graduated december of 2011 but I doubt I have a shot at Mckinsey.
116k for a .NET developer? Lol!
I'm .Net at 120K what's the issue?
$130k after a year is probably somebody who was extremely good with ABAP and already had several years of experience in the work world in other technologies. Find yourself a nice rarified skill set that makes most people miserable but is integral to making businesses run and yeah, people will pay you for it.Meh. My coworker was telling me about a guy who made 116k after a year as a .net developer, and another guy making 130k after a year of SAP.
90K to 100K isn't uncommon, but 116K is definitely upper bounds.
And 130K after a year of SAP, I'd have to see to believe. SAP and similar high profile systems can see that range, but I highly doubt we're talking about a 1-year-of-experience straight-out-of-college n00b here. That might be 1 year of SAP including lots of training, and after a decade of senior developer experience. I sure as hell wouldn't hire a green SAP developer just to muck up the system with their n00b mistakes.
Can you tell me why a .NET developer would be worth $120k P.A.?
Here in the UK, $120k is software architect territory.
