I found it very funny and interesting that the democrat can actually think of even the idea of fining people for not buying health insurance. People are against it, Obama seems to be against the idea too, then how come these call so democrat can think of such insane idea? These are suppose to be our representative, yet they don't even represent a fraction of what people really want.

Democrats have been taken over by the far left - hence all the communists popping out all over the place. Health-care is about power - which Dems have become wildly addicted to. They don't care about health but about taking over huge chunk of economy and getting into peoples lives with it. They would flush the Constitution down the toilet tomorrow if it would help them. They are flushing it down the toilet anyway. See see the signs of tyranny in Obama and Dems - this will get better worse it gets better.

I literally laughed out loud after reading the bolded part.

It was pretty funny.

BarrySotero (henceforth known as BS) should write for someone. I'm thinking BS could make it big in the satire world. If he toned it down just a half a notch he could make it really big on Fox News. Alternatively he could turn it up half a notch and write for Rush.

FactCheck is a joke when it comes to Obama (Annenberg Foundation pays for FactCheck and they paid for Obama/Ayers)

GO look at the FactCheck page for Obama's speech calling for a civilian security force equal to military. They put a break between Obama's words to make them seem like 2 paragraphs when they were one;

"We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

That's fine by me, so as long as they (middleman, insurers, whatever you call them) don't deny your medical care or cancel your policy.

All I advocated was to read the bill for yourself.

Maybe the dems should start talking about the 40 million in the US without insurance rather than the 50 million with out insurance as that number includes illegals. But I guess they have no interest in putting honest numbers up when talking about uninsured....

There's nothing honest about backpedaling from a blatant misrepresentation with a damned-if-you-do-damned-if-you-don't argument.

The proposed bill doesn't cover illegals. Period. As the Republicans want it. Fault it for what it does that you don't like, not make-believe bullshit.

But yet they continue to peddle coverage for the 50M in the US without health coverage and 10M of those are illegals. They are misrepresenting the numbers which include illegals and they wonder why people think it will cover illegals.

The CBO estimates of those uninsured only 10 to 15 million are uninsured not by choice. The remaining are either illegals or CHOOSE to not have health insurance.

On my bad days I have more of a clue than you. It was obvious Obama was a radical before election and it's only become more obvious since. People like you are locked-up because you use Obama to play Jesus lepers in your head. You make Obama into something special (and he a headcase in reality) to siphon off identity for yourself - its like absolution via absorption. SO even when Obama turns into a pumpkin your still locked out of reality. Your life cant be going real well with that kind of mindset. Too many people here live in this place 24/7 and you be one.

Yes I know that, but the democrats keep campaigning on insuring the 50 million uninsured in the US, which include the illegals. Then they act shocked when people think their bill will cover illegals.

We have to overhaul the system because it is the least efficient health care system on the planet. (or at least in the industrialized world) The uninsured are only one part of the overall catastrophe.

Demoncats voted down Heller Amendment to demand verification of citizenship for health-care consumers. Illegals aren't blocked from plan. The plans says nobody can be denied care because of external circumstances. If there are no checks against illegals its stupid to keep saying they aren't covered just because there isn't a line that says "illegals are covered". Puerile.

Why exactly do you think world leaders come from every corner of the earth to the USA for health care? Why do you think pregnant woman race across the border into hospitals? Why do you see people giving birth in the street in the rest of the "industrialized world" because the government wouldn't send an ambulance but you don't see that here?

Please, explain...

1.) You don't, and anecdotal evidence is not a valid substitute for a real argument.
2.) Nothing you mentioned there had any bearing on the efficiency of the US system. The poor relation of increased US health care spending relative to other OECD countries and overall health outcomes is indisputable. Everyone knows it... hell even the Republicans don't try to deny this.
