Yes, they are, but nothing that moves farther than 6' on the ground and nothing that can leave the ground farther than or shoot anything higher than 6' into the air.

We had a pretty serious drought about 8 years ago, so they banned all fireworks, even sparklers. Now that the drought is over, fireworks are just too dangerous for our own good so they are still illegal.....bastages.....:|

Not if they make noise or go into the air.

But our close proximity to Wyoming (where everything is legal) means no one cares and the cops only have enough power to enforce around the major areas.

Also, flare guns don't count as fireworks

Just about everything bigger than sparklers and fountains are illegal here. If it flies or explodes it's a no-no. VERY VERY VERY loosely enforced though. If you hurt yourself you might get a fine on the way out of the hospital, but the police don't put any effort into arresting people that are shooting off bottle rockets and small shells from their back yard. My neighborhood is HEAVILY into fireworks and around this time of the year dozens of houses have some fairly major displays that last much of the evening and nobody ever gets busted or even hassled.

Pretty sure they are. I live in Vancouver, WA. It doesn't matter if they are or not because my neighbors were fucking shooting off tons of fucking bottle rockets and the kinds you see at fairgrounds going off. Fucking things are hella loud... I was trying to sleepy too. (And I hear them all go, "YEAAHHH WOOOOO")

Illegal. If you don't go nuts you can shoot off a some stuff. The cops will swing by and tell you not to do any more - but they're nice about it. There's always somebody who is an idiot and goes overboard - then we read about it in the local paper.

Suburbia.

I have no idea. We do have fireworks stands that open twice a year and I do hear random pops, etc. around the fourth of july and new years day.

Nope, too crowded. Besides, we have fireworks at the water front in downtown. I should go watch it tonight.

Per the law, no. Most summers there's way too much fire potential here. This year though, we've had enough rain that I don't think a flamethrower would light a field up.

Everything fun is banned here, so I voted no We can do snakes, sparklers, and fountians, I think. Nothing that goes in the air or explodes is ok. This is a farm town in the middle of Missouri, and we're hardly under a fire watch or anything like that, this place is just run by old folks that have chihuauas and yell at kids that get on their lawn.
