Are Mens body washes a waste of money?

I think so.

I have tired many mens body washes over the years including the old spice ones that say it lasts 8 hours or more. It is pure marketing crap (yeah no surprise I know) and I have cut out the body wash ritual when preparing for that special date or a night out on the town.

I find that mens body lotions (scented) lasts longer and is better on so many levels.

If you look around you can find many nice smelling body lotions on the market.


So who here still uses body washes? If so, do you see any real benefit?


Oh and if you know a woman's face (or man for our gay brethren reading this..lol) will be down in your crotch area what would you use?

Doesn't matter how fancy the soap is, your balls will smell like balls as soon as you get out of the shower.

Use a cologne/body spray if you want your nether region to have a masked smell

I use lotion only on my hands because they get super dry from work.

I wash with Old Spice Swagger and use the body spray.

This plus it does smell decent for a small time.

Cheaper then normal soap bars plus it doesn't get all nasty as the soap gets used a bunch of times as you can keep the container in the shower unlike the soap or it gets wasted as you take a shower.

And this way I don't need to go through a bunch of washcloths when I shower as the washcloth is only for the face with a bit of this and the loofa is where most of the body wash goes and lathers much better then then when you use a wash cloth.

Cheap body wash or bars work just fine for me. Colognes in spray bottles can be cheaper than body sprays which to me their the same damn thing really, just stronger so use less. A dash of Jockey here and there and I become a chiseled vag assassin.

I use this Dove soap that smells like a cucumber.. keeps me moisturized - especially in the winter.

My favorite is Axe Snake Peel.

Mostly because Target usually puts the price tag over part of the "Peel" section of the title so it looks like "Snake Pee", and I find that hilarious.

It does smell nice though, the grit in it gets me clean, and it does the job.

er... what? I don't know a single gay man who uses mens body wash.

personally, I use Aveeno. it's the only brand I've tried that didn't make my skin feel dried out as fuck after the shower. if I were to buy scented anything, I'd buy whatever I enjoyed smelling while showering and not expect it to replace cologne.

I used to use body wash, then switched to Irish Spring. The only problem with soap though is it dries your skin. Which isn't a big deal in the summer but you've gotta moisturize in the winter. Yeah, men don't use lotion. Right. Try detailing cars in the dead of winter. Your hands will feel like well worn leather that's on too tight, and itch like crazy thanks to the dry air, soap, and all the chemicals.
