I use the Old Spice stuff (Glacial Falls preferably) because my wife likes it. It wears off, but I use a bit of cologne after the shower, again, because my wife likes it. Best reason in the world.

I use Irish Spring bars of soap. I have in the past bought cheaper alternatives, but, they are inferior.

Yes. I use unscented soap. My natural aroma is heavenly; don't want to fuck it up with some stinky-ass body wash.

I'm kinda surprised men actually use old spice. I always thought of it like candy corn. Something you get every year from your grandmother but would never eat or use. I remember using old spice when I was like 11 years old and I smelled like some kind of dirty prostitute. They must have come out with something new since then.

I bath with Ivory body wash in the states. Can't get that here for some reason so I use Dove. Lotion? On my hands during the winter. I would never want that on my whole body.

Ohh, I forgot about lotion, I do not know what lotion it is. The fiance sneaks up on me and gets my hands covered with lotion every once in a while in the winter. She does not approve of my knuckles when they are cracked and bleeding/dried out. Anyhow, she usually gets me at least 2 or 3 times during the winter, which is usually enough to keep them from bleeding all over the place.

If you actually want some sort of fragrant smell then ditch the shitty body washes and buy a cologne. Those will stay on your skin anywhere from 3-12 hours depending on strength. The scents in body washes are just gimmicks that wear off in 20 mins.

And use a moisturizing soap like Dove if your skin dries out with normal soap.

I use the Dove Mens body wash I got at Costco. I forget if its scented or not. If it is, my deoderant has a stronger scent than it according to the GF.

Oh and if you know a woman's face (or man for our gay brethren reading this..lol) will be down in your crotch area what would you use?

I like a man's natural aroma, fuck disgusting smelling body washes.

I would rather my guy use body wash than lotion. Leaves a little scent, nothing overpowering and nothing slimy on the skin.

use one with salycic acid.

shit, talk about dry skin.

I can't touch that stuff unless I want to flake and peel. When growing up with mild acne, I had got into using it in various face products quite frequently, and it took me a little awhile to start figuring out that those face products were making things worse, not better. I was creating my own feedback loop of acne and dry skin.

Started just getting around to rinsing my face/splashing water on it throughout the day. Just enough to start removing some of the excess oil, but apparently not all of it, which was what helps keep skin healthy if done right.

Back when I noticed that, was about the same time I was noticing that different bar soaps, and then body washes, left my skin dry as well. Especially in the winter (or, very noticeable in the winter, barely apparent in the summer).

I grew up with Lever 2000, and I felt like that was always leaving my skin feeling dry and weird feeling. Tried many different body washes over the years, both annoyed by the scents and that most weren't feeling much better, or were more drying, or even just less effective, than others.

Recently, I've been stuck on Dove Men's Care body wash. I've been using the most minimally scented one, imho, Clean Comfort (I think?). It's mild scented, and seems to really do a good job with cleaning, yet does the best job of all soap/body washes I've tried in terms of not leaving my skin flaking dry.

I had a similar issue with shampoos - many were drying my hair and scalp out, more by scalp than anything most likely. It would itch and flake. I introduced a dandruff conditioner and it seemed to help, but overall wasn't getting much improvement.
I switched to Clear (Men's) 2 in 1 and everything has been good since.

I hate, HATE, I can't get away with the cheap products. But while they might clean, they make things worse for me. I think I have skin dryness issues, however, but if I can help manage the problem at the start by just washing right, I'm happy. That's less greasy lotion to worry about.

Though in the winter, I still require hand lotion. I'll crack and bleed on/in-between my knuckles. It fucking sucks. I hate Ohio winters - cold and dry ass air. Really makes running outside a bitch. Can't say I'm really a fan of the "all I can smell and taste is blood" experience after running in that dead winter air.

Agreed, I have no idea why men's shampoo and soap would have a fragrance. I do not want bugs attracted to my head if I am camping or mountain biking or running in the park.

If I want to smell nice i will put on cologne.

Are you looking to get clean or to smell nice all day? I personally use a body wash to get clean and that's it.

This. To me, it is cheap soap. Dial is like...2 dollars at Target and lasts me for a month or longer.

Scented body wash is for teenagers. No one is impressed.

My no-soap experiment is still going strong after one year.

You don't really need it so long as you take care of your body (exfoliate when showering, scrub properly, etc).

Y'all are suckers for buying even cheap bar soap.
