Are my 3dmark scores too low?

First off, my system:

Asus A8V Deluxe S939
Amd 64 s939 3200+
1 Gig corsair twinx 1024 meg ram 2-3-3-6
1x WD raptor 74gig SATA
1x seatgate 200 gig SATA
1x chaintech 6800 GT - 67.03 drivers

Everything at stock settings, no OC.

My 3dmark 2003 score is 6863, and my 3dmark 05 score is 1999.

With this system, should I not be in the 10-12,000 range in 03, and 5-6000 range in 05?

Hell yes, 6800GT and with your specs only got 6863, heck my uncle with lower specs with 9800xt got 200 less than that, with your set up, you should be getting somewhere around 12k or so. 05 around 5-6k.

sounds like chipset drivers did not get installed. prime example of what happens.

I recently got 12k with almost the same setup (but OC'd video card)

yes..those are very low. Just got almost 10,000 with a BFG 6800 with everything unlocked.

Xp2500@3200
gig PC3200 512x2 PQI at 430mhz
NF7-S v2.0
BFG 6800 unlocked.

Turn off video cache in your mobo bios, and a host of other things..just took a couple shots of tequila..

Ok guys sorry, I figured out what it was, the gentleman above was right about the chipset drivers not being installed. I took no notice of it until now since all my games, Doom 3 for example ran perfectly fine. Atleast as fine as I expected it to run on my machine, maybe I was expecting too little.

Anyways, I did some investigating, and ended up downloading a 4in1 driver pack from the asus website, under their A8V deluxe mobo section. Upon installing, rebooting, and running 3dmark 03 again, I got a final score of 11936 ... obviously, the numbers don't lie. I practically just doubled my graphics processing ability.

Thanks all.

As a general rule, when you see low performance on benchmarks, but no problems like lockups or abnormalities, it's usually just a driver issue.

good job on fixing the problem, and nice scores
