Are my computer temperature readings in the norm?

I'm using a program called Speedfan and its giving me these readings:

Ambient : 91 F
Remote 1 : 77 F
Remote 2 : 235 F
HD0: 97 F

I'm not sure what measurement stands for what, but do those look normal for this system?:

Motherboard: Msi RS480
cpu: AMD Athlon 64 3000
2 512 pc3200
Cheapo 450W power supply

And other items stacked in this exact order:
----
1 cd burner
1 dvd rom
A: drive
1 30GB 5200rpm IDE hard drive(5 years or so old)
space
space
1 80GB 7200 SATA (new)
1 250GB 7200 SATA (new)
----

I have 2 80mm fans positioned for max airflow. Do my temps look good? Should I check them with a different program? That 235 F one looks fishy

Your temps are fine...the only scarey one is Remote 2, all the others are very good.

anything above 60 degrees CELSIUS for the cpu is something you should be worried about, those things are labeled differently from mine so i cant tell which one's which, but remote 2 is like 112 celsius.

Bleh, well, I downloaded a new version of Everest and I guess the version of speedfan had some glitch in it. I no longer see that 235F temp. My readings with Everest are as follows:

Motherboard: 33C (91F)
CPU: 25C (77F)
and for some reason, two sensors are showing for only one hard drive: 36C(97)

Any idea why my 80 GB sata is the only one showing up? The other two are Western Digital and the 80 is Hitachi.

235F is crazy hot. I'm sure you're relieved that Everest displayed more acceptable temperatures.

At least you get correct temps with my shuttle I have to use bios that dont support the venice core. The readings are wrong because of this check out mine.

temp1: 39C
temp2: -55C
temp3: -55C
cpu: 53C
local: 43C
Remote 2: 41C
temp: 0C
temp1: 33C

by the way what are all these readings? maybe temp1 is my cpu

Temps all seem good...that 235 reading was almost definately a bug...otherwise something probably would have melted.

The temps listed can't be much closer than the first ones. If room temp is 91, there is no way that your cpu is at 77. Unless you're running phase change cooling.

Anyone want to take a guess as to why this is

Wow, CPU seems pretty damn cool. My Everest temps read as follows in a poorly A/C'd apartment...

Motherboard 30 °C (86 °F)
CPU 35 °C (95 °F)
GPU 50 °C (122 °F)
GPU Ambient 39 °C (102 °F)
Seagate ST3160827AS 30 °C (86 °F)
