LOL @ "he didn't clarify with the chef how much he was going to be charged".
What does that even mean.
It was a Sushi bar and he wanted two rolls of sushi. Simple enough, I asked the chef how much was it and he said something along the lines of $12.
I thought he meant $12 for both rolls, but it turns out it was $12 for one of them. I wasn't expecting to eat anyways since it was so expensive, so I just plan on sitting there watching him eat. It is extremely important to clarify on the pricing because the people seemed kind of shady.
Turns out, it was $25.44 and I was like wtf. I remember I told the chef that I didn't want any. The dude only bought $20 so I had to spot him like $6.
Because it is so easy to "move out"
Rent around my city is about $1,000 for a pretty small apartment.
they got these things called jobs, you get them and earn money and move the fuck out.
When you've been here almost 14 years, things add up. Well, with the possible exception of your IQ points. From your post count, I'd have never guessed that you had/have any kind of a life.
Your friend sounds pretty irresponsible with money. Know wonder his parents are pissed off with him.

WTF is he still doing sucking on mommy's teet ?
Pretty much. You been here for 14 years doing what? Starting shit with people?
So apparently going by what he told me, his parents basically tries to keep him on a lease.
To be fair, leasing kids has many advantages versus buying them outright.
That is never right. You should always buy. Leasing never ends well.

To be fair and keep it real. Today's generation doesn't live in the previous gens world. Current statistics show about 24% of America's youth under 25 live with their parents. That stat changes depending where you live. In Sacramento its 36.4%. Not everyone can just work their ass off and make all the right connections and choices to become a wealthy individual. It's like tossing a dozen vials of vaccine on the table in a room with hundreds of sick people. Many hard workers that always try to do the right thing can either end up living with parents if life deals you a lemon.
The easy part is to put them all into a category and call them losers but really only a very small percentage of young adults are legit losers, often with some kind of addiction or mental disorder. We need to be asking those questions first before making assumptions to one being a loser. There are people with degrees forced to live at home just as there is a multitude of various reasons why one does so even if it's just to save up money.
In this case, there are many factors we still don't know, the best way is for OP to just ask the guy why he lives at home. If it's because he spends all his money on coke and hookers then there ya go. If he is looking for a job well then that's environmental factors, even degree holders can't find jobs but yet it's odd no one calls them losers.
It is a great way to save money in this economy.
We need pics to decide for ourselves...:biggrin:Ha, yes, getting someone else to pay your bills is an awesome way to save money.
Fwiw, my 20 year-old daughter still lives at home, and at the moment I wouldn't have it any other way. She's not ready yet.
What kind of job can a current college student get that can support a mediocre lifestyle?
$1,000 a month on rent is pretty damn high for whatever minimum wage job he can get.
You also have to factor in the amount of hours he is likely or not likely to get.
Wow man you are like the first one here to actually demonstrate understanding and compassion.
I am shocked.
