G500 here, great mouse. I did break one by slamming it when raging during CS:S. On my second one currently.

yeah that game can do that to you especially when the sneaky cheaters get on who never seem to never miss with the magnum rifle

on one of mine I have a g500. also bought a g400 as a spare when BB handed out those free reward certs and had it on sale. good thing as it seems the lmb on the 500 is starting to fail as it only partially responds if you press it near the top of the button.

Logitech G700 is the best mouse I've ever used. Can't say enough good things about it. Toook few days to adjust but it now fits like a glove.

It amazes me so many people are happy with mice that don't move consistently. Guess it goes to show that the manufacturers approach of producing flawed sensor mice with fancy features pays off. No mice outside of the list of esreality actually works as well as a basic $10 Microsoft Windows Optical mouse.

I won one European championship as a semi pro (COD) and I can tell you I hate how bad most of the mice listed above. Most mouse reviews are useless as this thread shows.

Humans are very good at adapting. That is simply what we do with these high end gaming mice.

What modern Microsoft mice can you buy that are like the WMA or IME?

Just curious - is the G700 one of those with a terrible sensor?

Any news of the quality of the Razer Ouroboros's sensor? Pricey, but it seems like I'll like it more than the RAT 9. And I'd wait for a good deal anyhow.

Or, how about Steelseries Sensei? I might like the Intellimouse shape. I think I used too - but it's been awhile since I've had any of that design in my hand.

I was trying to find sensor reviews for the ones that weren't on that list linked to earlier, but I couldn't come up with anything.

I like my G9x just fine. Apparently it sucks after reading this thread, but it works great for me.

I got it the same time as a Blackwidow keyboard, which has since failed so I am done with Razer.

Kicking a G700 right now. I preferred the design of the old MX1000. There was one less side button, but the eye style design used for them meant I could tell them apart by feel instantly. The side buttons on the G700 all feel too similar, and I end up not using two of them. Plus, it had a third useful button under the scroll wheel. The G700's button there is much lower and directly behind the scroll wheel free/click control, which makes it much harder to use. The 3 additional top buttons have that same issue - poorly positioned, and hard to tell apart by feel alone.

I got a DeathAdder 3500dpi/3.5GHz infrared last year and it's a great mouse. Simple and effective, smooth and precise. I coupled it with a Goliathus mousepad, the precision version, and I love the feeling.

I have one of the older versions of the DeathAdder (supposedly the sensor is superior or something, I have no idea really) and I'm happy with it. I like the material, but it is a little hard to clean; no performance complaints however.

I think you can get good mice from just about anyone, it's just a matter of finding the one that's got the right shape and buttons for you.

I have used a variety of Razer products many for over a year some for about a month.

I will never buy a Razer product again, very cheap build quality and poor design

Lachesis
Imperator
Orochi
Scarab Pad
Vespa Pad

Wasted a lot of money on this garbage

Yeah the cheapo MS mice are nice. This is the best mouse ive ever used:

Went through 3 of them and 1 of the blue ones. All developed a double click problem after a while. Had to get something more durable so went for an MX518.

If you like that MS mouse (which I do myself and STILL rock mine from over 10 years ago as a work mouse now) try the SteelSeries Xai. It's ambidextrous, and shaped very closely to the MS Explorer, but better in every way. LOVE this mouse.

i always go logitech, and it's more because of the amazing customer service than the products...

Too bad the sarcasm tags were not included on that post. I think too many people will take you seriously without stating that fact.

Don't get me wrong, I own quite a few Logitech products. My pervious 2 keyboards were Logitech's, my current and last 2 mice were Logitech's (current one is a G9 which I am very happy with). But if you have ever had to deal with Logitech support you know it is probably the worst in the industry.

I've only had to have one logitech item replaced and aside from the slightly slow turn around between correspondence and shipping the replacement, it was pretty much top notch. Friendly support (his name was Ferds), proof of ownership wasn't a hassle and an identical replacement shipped right to my door at no cost.

YYMV then. I've had to deal with them once when one of my mice died a few years back, they gave me no problems at all and because the mouse I had they didn't make anymore they upgraded me to the newest top of the line one at the time (I didn't care for it and sold it on ebay but end up making more money than I originally spent). Everything was fast, easy, and hassle free.

Wow didn't realize there were that many models.... Only one I ever remember hearing about was the Razor Boomslang.... That said, I don't follow hardware as closely as I used to...

I have a Razer Mamba and it's the worst mouse I've ever owned. I will never buy another Razer mouse. Definitely going back to Logitech.

Tons of logitech products purchased/used, one bad keyboard. They replaced it immediately without any issues.

Oh, and I use a Naga. No issues with it.
