Are rising gas prices affecting you?

i dont notice. i fill up and go.

i'll probably start to care when a fill up cost $50+.
i usually fill up ~10gallons, thus $5/gallon.
but probably wont affect me/change my spending habits till like $10/gal.

Yes, I'm on a shoestring budget. Fill-ups are almost to 50$. I have a 12 gallon tank and we're seeing 3.80 where I live.

edit: note I drive an effing miata and my fill-up is almost to 50$. Granted, even though my car is tiny its not like it gets prius gas mileage. Just not hummer gas mileage. So, we're talking 32 or so mpg if I drive easy on the highway.

Affecting me? Yes, but so far, the impact is fairly minor. I don't drive too awful much anymore anyway...but we have started using the POS Jetta instead of the Expedition 4X4 for running around town...grocery store trips and so on.
It's not nearly as comfortable to ride in...but it gets twice the mileage.

Only indirectly. Don't drive much at all, so it's just businesses passing increased costs on to consumers that I notice.

My company said try not to make unnecessary trips, use only 87 oct, and don't go to gas stations that charge like 20+ cents/gal more than average.

So no not really impacting my wallet. Just thankful I'm not the one paying $100 every 2-3 days to fill it up.

Yes, i just switched vehicles froma Honda CRX that got around 40MPG to a Chev 3/4 Ton 4x4 pickup that gets 15MPG.

With my new job I can only see my girlfriend half as much (the biggest mileage expense). That means I drive a minimum of 260 miles less a month. As this happened right around the last bout of gas spikes, I haven't really noticed since I use a lot less gas. I fill up about once a month on average. And once she moves in, I might very well only fill up once every month and a half.

Yeah my little fiesta costs £50 to fill up. I think we're paying roughly $8 per gallon translated to US values. Last time it was this expensive there was a protest where lorry drivers blockaded the oil refineries.

My tank is only 12gal and the best mileage I get is 20mpg and I use premium also so I get raped so yes, every cent it goes up affects me. I`ll spend at least $90 in gas every 5 days just to get back and forth to work. It sucks but I have to get to work so I deal with it.

I can't fill up. The pump only allows 100 dollars worth of fuel when I pay at the pump with credit card.

I'm cutting back on driving my car as much as possible, take the shortest routes whenever I can. I used to take my car into the woods in the summer for fishing and hiking almost every weekend, now I have to cut back on those trips.

yes, my family and I plan our trips out(groceries, activities, etc) more efficiently whenever possible. 1 income, family of four...it's not helping an already tight budget.

Gas is about $9 a gallon here.

Doesn't affect me directly, as I don't own a car. Indirectly I'm sure it does though, with higher prices for public transport, food and items that need to be transported here etc.

I try not to let it affect me as I still need to commute to work 30 miles round trip each day with a Jeep that gets 15mpg. But it is starting to piss me off. $3.90 a gallon here today.

32 isnt bad but at these prices it still hurts.

2002 camry, i get 28 or so on the highway and drive 50 miles a day. gas is 3.85 or so...and im college student working part time. probably costing me an extra 60 or 70 bucks a month over what it was before prices spiked, thats a decent chunk of change for me :-/

Yes, it is affecting me indirectly.

My wifes kids live right at the poverty level. They decided not to go to college, 2 work in retail, one works in a doctors office. As the price of gas goes up, they ask to borrow money more often. Its not that they have credit cards or massive debt, they just can not even pay their most basic bills anymore.

One family member has his hand out all the time. He and his wife bought a rather large SUV a few months ago - gas mileage was not even considered. Now they are having problems even buying food for the kids, or even having money for gas week to week.

One of the kids is going to a nurse certification class, so I am hoping that person gets a raise sometime soon.

My wife and I have have started limiting our driving since the price of fuel started going up.
