Are stats down again?

I still see the 1000 day and my 40th day.Same as yesterday. Deja Vu?

some one read this thread.15 minutes after I posted,Dnet puts the "down for maintenace " page back up. Thanks, that means my 'puter must be working OK.

When I left for work this morning the stats were still showing yesterdays stats, and as of 12:10pm CST they still are. However Last night at around 11pm CST OGR were updated. I guess we dont get daily updates from Dnet anymore.

Tally rebooted sometime during last night's rc5 run, so I'm re-running
rc5 stats right now. In order to speed this up, I'm going to disable web access for the next hour or so. >>



I just checked my stats (17:16 UTC) and it still shows yesterday's numbers. I know I hit 900K yesterday, so show it to me already !!!

Yep, still showing yesterday's. Funny how OGR stat runs always seem to get done. I guess RC5 has become the bastard child of dnet. SETI looks better every day.

Russ, RC5 not getting run has nothing to do with it being &quot;second&quot; to OGR. RC5 has allways had problems from time to time, since it's an intensive contest, where hundereds of thousands of pages must be updated every night. In all honesty, it could have easily happened to OGR too.

I just think that you have to take into account that the OGR stats run is only having to crunch 6 DAYs worth of work while the RC5 stats take into account nearly 3 years of work. Therefore, I'm guessing that the OGR stats run completes in a matter of minutes vs. the hours of processing that the RC5 run takes.

Simple probability dictates that if a problem occurs, it's far more likely to interfere with the RC5 run than the OGR.

I'll admit that D.Net has made a few mistakes in how they handled the roll-out of OGR, but I've seen no other indications that RC5 has become some sort of &quot;bastard child&quot;. The critisisms about them for simply wanting to run more than one effort at a time (gasp!) are getting a bit old at this point.

Yeah...

When you put it that way, I'd have to agree that I would be in mourning for a considerable period of time as well.

That's certainly a lot of wasted effort that could have been avoided had there been a bit more warning...

It seems like the stats have just completed. AT is back on 1, closely followed by DPC
