That's pretty sweet. 39K in 5 years isn't bad. I've put 10K on my old impreza in just over 6 months.

Yeah, I am freaking dying to see it. We had really bullshit weather today, and the guy probably can't show it to me tomorrow.

I really want to see it in person already. I never really considered a Subaru before.

i've never heard an entire make branded 'gay friendly.' certain cars, yeah (miatas and the later mr2 come to mind), but not whole brands.

i would call subarus decidedly un-gay.

I only know one other gay (male) that owns one besides myself. Most of us seem to gravitate to VW and Honda.

I had a college professor refer to Subaru cars as a "Lesbian SUV".

That summarized it pretty well for me.

No joke. Serious question. I was talking to my father about the older Mercedes that I own. He then asked me what I was driving around. Before I knew it he said "as long as it's not a gay Subaru."

Your Dad is compensating because he sucks tailpipe behind closed doors. He should come out of the garage and drop his shame that he lets other men fondle his start button.

Subaru is on my list of cars to buy next time around. I'd love to get another Jeep, but I want something with better gas mileage.

My last tank of gas in the WRX was 17mpg. I live very close to work though and that kills my gas mileage. On a 400 mile trip I took, I got 21 or 22mpg. People say "I bet that 4 cylinder gets good gas mileage!". They don't understand that the more air you throw in a cylinder, the more gas you have to supply to it.

Really? I never checked the numbers, but I assumed it would be better than my straight 6. That's exactly the mileage I get, well used to anyway. I haven't checked it in awhile, and my motor's starting to get a bit of slop in it.

My impreza (the thread starter) is a 94 with a 1.8L engine. I get 18-22 in town, 27 on highways. For sure it's not the best on mileage, but it's the most fun 1.8L vehicle in my price range.

Yes.

No reason, just felt like affirming.

I only have 1 aquaintance with a Subaru, and she almost went with a Mazda 3 because her test-ride had a sunroof...

I live in Seattle.....Seattle has lots of two things. Hardcore environmentalists, and gays. And the only cars I see as much as Priuses are Subarus.

Take it as you will.
