Yeah, those old AMD K7 motherboards back in '99 usually needed BIOS updates before everything worked right.

Intel has spoiled us with more stable BIOSes now that AMD isn't giving them much competition.

Yeah, it was interesting here back in the late 90s. (I think I had to re-register in 2000 because of some forum glitch.) Back then, Anand was just a young teenager.

I still remember some of the members here got their panties all in a wad when Anand bought a Mac for daily use. That was interesting. PowerPC no less.

Funny, I wonder if he would be willing to make similar statements now concerning the expanded computing industry, especially including mobile and embedded. Obviously the mobile industry is not ruled by one company, but I am still wondering if it was, would Anand ever say anything?

I flash the BIOS to whatever the latest is on my Rampage V Extreme. I'm sure I'll be doing the same with whatever the next high end enthusiast board comes out next.

Im still here, but looking for a PC dedicated forum to replace anandtech, they used to care about PC parts now they dont, the GPU reviews especially are laughable nowadays.
