that reminds me that I will never get a Sprint phone...I bought a Sprint Krazer from Costco a few years back, but didn't like it...I returned the phone two days after I bought...

It took 4 months for them to get the billing resolved on it. I was charged an early termination fee the next month, got a credit the month afterwards, another ETF and late fee the following month. Took about 10 calls at 30 minutes each (probably being generous here) to finally get it straightened out...how can a customer service for a company be so incompetent???

Home Depot: hate going there with a passion.

In my experience, going to home depot means being involved a traffic jam to get there, spending gobs of time wandering around the ridiculously sprawled out and cavernous store trying to find what you need, trying to track down empolyees to get shit down from the 30 foot shelves, waiting on long checkout lines (though they've remedied this a little bit with the self checkout) and finally, being involved in another traffic jam on the way out. It's insane.

You know how lumberyards used to work?

You would just drive your truck right into the yard and start loading your wood. Within 5 minutes of your arrival a yard guy would show up and ask you if you needed a hand. If not, he would ask you what else you needed and he would go get it for you. After you had everything, he would write you a ticket and charge your account. DONE. 20-25 minutes tops.

You can't get out of Home Depot in under an hour, usually more like 1:20. I just can't believe people tolerate it.

I actually choose to shop at Gamestop rather than other stores for games. Prices on new games vary very little, and I'd rather support a game store than a generic big box store, because Gamestop is the only game store left around here. They have a better selection of games, and they sell used games (if you wait for their buy 2 get 1 free sales, they're actually not a bad deal). I don't care that they take games out of the boxes that they put out on the shelves, and then later sell those games as new. As long as the game works and I'm not buying it as a gift, I don't care.

If Gamestop went out of business, I'd probably buy from Toys R Us. They have a great game selection too.

They do paint themselves pretty well though.

I'm not a fan of "big-box" type stores in general, but I didn't know Costco was as bad as WalMart. Links?

There are no links It was all covered up nicely but I was there. We won against costco and they still managed to get a midnight session with the city council ( no public notification ) and got to build a parking lot and a driveway through a city park. Its a very long story. Maybe Ill tell it again someday.

I do hear costco pays better than walmart though. I guess that makes up for everything in some people miinds.

I can't think of a single place I'd down right refuse to go to.

I have places I prefer to use over others, say Publix over Kroger for example but in a pinch, if I need something and Kroger is closer then that's where I'm going.

I really hate shopping at Wal-Mart but I really don't mind going there for quick in and out kind of things either. I ALWAYS park in the old change parking lot and enter at the side of the store to avoid the crowds and then go in and grab the one or two things I need and GTFO of there as fast as I can.

For general shopping though I'll pick Target over Wal-Mart ever single time if given the option, though Target doesn't have the automotive selection and ammo section, which sucks.

I thought businesses coming into low income neighborhoods were a good thing (taxwise).

Old Navy - I hated their commercials and didn't want to give them money to make more. Seems to have worked.

Burger King because their food tastes like shit. Ditto for Papa Johns, I got the worst pizza I've ever had from them once and ever since then I refuse to ever order from them again.

  to Costco for destroying low-income neighborhoods and bringing in jobs that pay better than most other retail stores.
