I usually wait for a ridiculous deal on Sierra Trading Post. I got a pare of $200 Kaenon glasses a few years back and they still are awesome. Cost me $70 after the normal discount + 40% sale. They are red with wine colored lenses...which I probably wouldn't have picked if I was paying $200...but I was more than happy with them for $70...and actually have come to really like the red tinted lenses.

Agreed. I just did this and the quality, look and feel make it totally worth it. Some of the Ray Bans are only a little over $100.

i dont even wear shades much, i agree with teh 50$ ones but no idea which ones you should get. spidey runs a 1990s car with 200+ thousand miles but spends 200+$ on shades and uses electricity for fun while not home? hehehe my grip is not the price of the shades but my little kids breaking them or me breaking them. thats why ive stuck to 100$ touch pro / iphone instead of 200$ driod phone because im sure id break it somehow.

The reason is the quality of them. My last pair of revos were probably 10 years old, lenses were just fine and I never kept them in a case. So overall you're spending less money on sunglasses and getting something that actually helps your vision and protects your eyes.

My first pair of expensive sunglasses were a pair of Arnette that I paid $175 and I used them for almost 10 years. I dropped them a few times and the glasses were still in perfect condition.

Eventually they were not cool anymore, so I found a pair of Ray-Ban that I really liked at Sunglass Hut but they were selling for around $225. I finally bought them on eBay for $100 shipped.

Both were polarized, and I wouldn't got without anymore.

My work is an Oakley dealer so I just get most of their stuff for around 40-50&#37; off retail. sometimes more.

Currently got the Juliets from them. Simply stunning glasses. And I use the Flak Jacket XLJ's for running and such.

GFI's for umm $25 bucks (maybe 20 I dunno) they have a lifetime replacement with them. You can sit on them and smash them and they'll give you a new pair. I use to work at a store that sold them, a few people literally went threw a pair a month and GFI replaced them every time with zero questions asked.
