i have a lite-on 4x 411s DVD burner. i have burned several data DVDs with 2x Imation DVD-Rs using Nero 6. all the DVDs have is data files, and i didnt use anything other than the default Nero Burning Rom settings.
i had an old Toshiba DVD-ROM drive, and it wouldnt read my burnt DVDs.
thinking it was because it was an old drive, i just purchased a brand new Sony 16X DVD-ROM from newegg. it was not able to read my discs either.
so going on another recommendation i tried the Asus 16X DVD-ROM drives from newegg. it was not able to read my discs either.
both the 411s and my Pioneer 107 DVD burner can read the discs fine. so why cant the DVD-ROMs?
possibilities:
1. im somehow burning the DVDs wrong. but Nero's standard data DVD settings should burn just fine shouldn't they?
2. the media itself sucks
3. the DVD-ROMs suck
can anyone suggest a solution?
