Are there serious inconsistencies in the first season of Heroes?

Just finished watching the first season. Perhaps not the best series I've ever seen but certainly the most addicting by far!! However there were a number of cases, I'm sorry I can't remember which ones, where characters seemed to know events that transpired in the lives of the other characters that they should not have known about. There are a couple of scenes like this near the end of the season where some characters seem to know events that they should not know about. Or is it just me? I was tired when watching some of these episodes and the story lines are so convoluted that it's hard to tell who knows what.

I understand that the series only goes downhill from here?

Season one was great. After that the writers really started struggling on how to move the plot and just made shit up on the fly.

Enjoy the first season man. The 2nd and 3rd seasons get even more inconsistent than the first. The first season is by far the best one.

The first season was absolutely gripping.

Remember when Hiro travels to the future America and right before the explosion he comes back to the subway in Japan in present time.. as the episode closes with a voice over.

That was utterly gripping and brilliant. The first 6-7 episodes were great then the writers simply ran out of gas and spread the plot too far, unable to wrap them all up.

Then from second season on, it became an utter pile of shit.

The 2nd one is balls out inconsistent. Especially with regards to the seasons that follow.

I am fullt convinced that Heroes is written by a bunch of English majors who decided to see how many plot holes they could string together and still have people watch.

Season 1 was great. I couldn't get myself to watch season 2.. Only saw a few beginning episodes of it.

I watched the first and second seasons in a weekend on Netflix. The only reason I was able to do that with the second season is because it was so short. I don't think I could have done that with the third. I enjoyed it, but waiting a week between episodes was the only way to not get pissed off.

Supposedly, only the first and last episodes of every season are written by the creator of the show, and he didn't touch season 2 at all.
So basically watch the first and last episodes of each season (but skip season 2) and you've seen everything that matters in the show.

Season 1 was great. I kind of liked season 2 but it was short because of the writers strike. Season 3 was such a piece of garbage that I stopped watching 10 episodes in.

Yeah that's why I said it's not the best show I've seen just the most addictive. It's miles from the best as you correctly point out. However there's no denying that season 1 is very hard to put down.

Yep. Thanks god for the writer's strike: I barely finished the short season 2, and never even started on 3: sometimes you only need to eat one gallon of sh!t to realize the second gallon is no better.

Oh ahaha, it's just that best and most addictive usually go hand in hand for me.
