To be a little kind:
Ipods are ridiculously overpriced and I haven't been able to justify spending 5 minutes reading up on the ipad. Apple is a great company that makes decent products...but they rape you on pricing. Also, this thing doesn't allow 3rd party software, so why not just buy an iphone and put a magnifying glass over it?

When it comes to music players, they mainly do a few things, like... play music.
When it comes to a computer, you kinda wanna do more with it, like... compute.

I got 10 out of 11 correct, and I hate apple.
Something tells me I know more about their products and business than the average fanboy. I suspect thats the reason they are still in business. More than enough ignorant people in the world to keep buying their overpriced crap.

Ironically though, the best music player out there is the Zune HD. Zune pass with on device Smart DJ wifi downloading = win. The reason why it hasn't made a dent in the iPod Touch's sales is because the apps are non-existent and of course, the Apple marketing.

I was foolish enough to buy a Chevy used and I have NOT been happy.
Now I realize why a used Toyota has a higher resale value.

But its still the same thing with apple products. Lots of people have to buy them new so the company can make money. I dont think the used market gets them anything except accessories.
In the car market: Replacement parts.

I have never purchases a GM part, I don't know how they make money off 3rd party parts.

Apple makes money anytime anyone mentions their company. Anand has already had to pay Apple $4 for this thread alone.
