My main concern is the gfx card, the mobo manual, I was reading it online, says 1.5v only for the AGP slot. The card supports 1.5v at 4x.

Will I be able to run it at 8x and will it all work together?

As for the cpu, I'm a fan of the mobile's. The multiplier is not locked, they use less power, run cooler and OC better.

The cpu you listed above is a "retail", meaning it comes with a HS+F. Meaning you don't need the speeze, and I doubt whether the speeze is any better than the one that comes with the retail cpu. (if you get a mobile Barton, it won't come with a HSF, you'll need to buy one)

There's no performance increase that anyone's found AFAIK between the 4X and 8X AGP. But the card seems to support 8X, as does the mobo. If you're gonna do any gaming with this rig, I would get a better vid card. At least a G4 Ti4200 or ATI 9600pro. Better still w/b a 9800 pro for about $200.

Set up your components, mobo, cpu (w/HS+F), ram and vid card outside the case for testing before installing in the case. New parts aren't 100% guaranteed to work. Save yourself the headache of putting in, taking out, putting back in etc in case you receive a faulty component.

Also, when installing components, unplugg the pc or remember to turn off the rocker switch on the psu. Many boards have a 5 v. standby current on even when the pc is off. Components can be damaged when installed or removed and the standby current is not off.

Visit the AMD or arctic silver website for instructions on applying thermal compound if your not already familiar with it.

When using a screwdriver to push down the clip on the cpu heatsink, you may wanna put something under the clip (on the mobo) so the mobo is not damaged if the screwdriver slips out of the slot.

Make sure to take your time and line up the ram properly, there is notch off center to help align the ram in the slot. It CAN fit in wrong and may ruin your ram or dork your mobo.

If it's your first build, take your time and enjoy the project. Read and maybe re-read the mobo manual. Check and double check all your connections before powering up.
