I do think the local pizza place people need to understand that most of those are complete shit. There are some good ones, but the majority are not any better than a chain, while costing more and taking longer. In fact most of the local pizza places have more grease, less flavor, especially in their cardboard tasting crusts. This is obviously region dependent, so some people wouldn't be wrong for their area, but where plenty of people live, the local places are just not better than a decent chain.
I'm not much of a Domino's fan, and I think they're new ones are worse. I'm not sure who thought it would be a good idea to drench their crust in garlic, overwhelmingly so. I don't even think garlic is that popular, so I'm just baffled that they'd do that. Of course I've noticed a lot of WTF at various restaurants, like putting mustard by default on burgers.
