Are those "new" Domino's pizzas any good?

I usually order Papa John's but I've seen those ads for "new" Domino's pizza. I didn't care much for the old stuff. Is the new stuff any good?

I got their combo (feast) and it was barely edible fresh, I threw away the leftovers.

I do like the BBQ legends pizza though, with the cheddar crust.

It was a definite step up. My roommate orders Dominos 3 times a week so I should know. I used to never eat that crap but I will occasionally now.

I was at someone's house the other day and they ordered Dominos (different location). Despite the box saying it was the new pizza, it was definitely the old pizza.

I didn't care for it. I'd actually take their old version over the new. As far as the chains go, I'd stick with Papa Johns.

Really? the places local to me are 1 of 2 thing. CRAZY overpriced, like $25 for a large, or super cheap and don't even use real cheese. Pizza Hut Stuffed Crust > * And yes I've had some of the good local places. Sorry, but I'm not going to pay $25 for a large pizza, it's NEVER that much better. I can get 2 1/2 pizzas from Pizza Hut for the same price.

Seriously, people need to stfu about their local places unless they are willing and able to deliver from them for under $15 to anywhere in the US.
Not every place has decent "mom and pop" pizza joints. There's no need to mention restaurants that aren't available to 99.999% of the nation every single time there is a discussion about national chain restaurants.

I do think the local pizza place people need to understand that most of those are complete shit. There are some good ones, but the majority are not any better than a chain, while costing more and taking longer. In fact most of the local pizza places have more grease, less flavor, especially in their cardboard tasting crusts. This is obviously region dependent, so some people wouldn't be wrong for their area, but where plenty of people live, the local places are just not better than a decent chain.

I'm not much of a Domino's fan, and I think they're new ones are worse. I'm not sure who thought it would be a good idea to drench their crust in garlic, overwhelmingly so. I don't even think garlic is that popular, so I'm just baffled that they'd do that. Of course I've noticed a lot of WTF at various restaurants, like putting mustard by default on burgers.

I didn't like the "sweeter" sauce at all.. but otherwise it was good. The crust was good. But the sauce ruined it for me.

I love sweet, rich heavy sauce. And the new stuff delivered. I also think the crust is one of the best you'll find on a $6 pizza. It's like a garlic bread stick free with every slice.
