That is not really all that bad. A revolution led reset may be exactly what this country needs.

Brazil was in a horrible position 30 years ago. Having to change currencies multiple times, now look at it...a world power to be reckoned with, a self sufficient domestic economy and an exploding export market.

This is why I have been scared to change or look for a new job since graduating college. My job isn't the best, and I don't make a killer amount but I do good enough and it's only three days a week.

I'm not one of those survivalist nuts but if it ever came to it I can grow my own food, hunt, and have a place to live that is paid for so I'm not as worried as some people are. Worst case I would have to sit in the dark not being able to pay for electricity. Everything else I need to live I can get without money, it wouldn't be enjoyable but if it came to it I could.

This is what happens when we keep putting morons in government and give them more and more power every day.

Yes, when the powerful private interests have been able to gain too much influence in the government designed for the people, the answer is, weaken that government, not fix who is elected so the people are represented. Reduce the government's power, and that power won't go to those private interests, it'll just disappear and the people will be free. Ya, just like communism was all about the good of the people.

The problem isn't what you say it is. It's the powerful private interests.

Government isn't 'gaining power every day' - you don't see an FDR program to reign in the private interests and serve the public interest.

Democracy gives the people some power to stand up to private power, and you are the enemy of democracy and the people, wanting to take that away and let the private interests not have to worry about the pesky people getting in their way. Our revolution was largely triggered by the 'corrupt elite' - the East India company and its owners who also had control of government - just like our big business today, and we had a revolution to let 'the people' have more power - and then your side trashed that.

Give corporations the legal right as persons to dominate our election process where it takes their money to get elected.

As the private powers stir up anti-government sentiment and take the power the government loses, you will cheer all the way to returning to being a serf.

You can let the private interests continue to turn the US into a country impoverished and concentrating wealth, or you can support the progressive policies for the public interest.

The former is a hell of a lot easier to happen, as has happened in many countries.

How does that work? You rip branches off trees and sharpen with your blade?

You can use any straight branch that is a decent wood, even pine will work. Split the end and insert feathers (could use other things like paper/plastic if you really wanted to ), then tie the end with some sort of string. I like fishing line, wraps tight and doesn't effect the flight much from air resistance. For tips you could sharpen wood but easier is to just buy tips or reuse the ones you have. Worst case you can also buy molds that allow you to pour your own tips from just about any metal you can melt in a regular fire , lead, copper, etc.

We seriously will have to consider kicking out all the illegals because pretty soon, because Americans will have to work the lower paying jobs to put food on the table or starve to death (or get bailed out by the govt).

The illegals sending a huge chunk of their wages back to Mexico are not helping our economy. They only spend what they need to here in the US to sustain life (food/shelter).

Wages are going to drop drastically across the board in most industries and the rich will get richer, the poor will get poorer and the middle class will dwindle. This is not going to be pretty.

Why only Mexico? There are more illegal chinese in NYC on welfare than there are working mexicans in the whole USA. Yet they dont get kicked out. Why? Because they are from communist china and the us turns a blind eye and targets a race that actually WORKS rather than kick out the millions od chinese on us welfare systems.

The right to work is a right we do not have. The purpose of government should be to insure that all who can work and want to have jobs. When people are hungry and miserable, they will tear everything down. Instead of everybody making it together, we have created a system where everybody is competing for everybody else's lunch. But competition is nothing more or less than hate. We are beginning now to see what that hate does.

Yeah, that is nice and all but the same people who compete in our capitalist system are the same people who run our government. The capitalistic system did not create the desire to compete with and rule over others- we have that desire naturally. The capitalistic system developed b/c of these desires. The socialistic system also developed from these desires- the desire to grind the upper class into the dirt. Ironically, alot of socialist movements were started with bloodshed and violent overthrow.

BTW, I am not against either capitalism or socialism. To me they are just systems that are run by flawed human beings.
