<< I don't agree to the use of it but I believe it should be legalized. Statics show that more people do things when they are not allowed than when they are. A couple of examples are, smoking and drinking. More people stop smoking at age 18 than start and the same with alcohol. More people stop drinking at 21 than start. There is no fun in doing certain things once you are allowed. >>
While it's true that when alcohol became prohibited there was a sharp increase in drinkers and that when it was legalized again there was a drop, marijuana is not in the same situation. Almost no one was around at the the time when marijuana was still legal, and by now a large percentage of people have the image that marijuana is illegal because it is a dangerous drug. If marijuana were to be legalized, alot more people would be willing to try it. Of course, this is all MHO, and I really have no clue whether marijuana smokers will go or down in percentage if marijuana is legalized.
<< What's "It", as-in, "It was a scare tactic."? I'm not referring to anti-drug propaganda that may be circulating who_knows_where...
I know people that have been busted for selling what they thought was LSD, and it turned out to be ALL strychnine. I've also heard many people [who are experienced in taking LSD] describe adverse reactions to what they took, their explination being that it had strychnine in it.
The way I've heard that you call tell the difference, is that the strychnine will produce nausea and dehydration, among other nervous system side-effects... symptons that can't be attributed to a bad_trip. Granted, I don't have any first-hand experience with LSD, because I feel that it is dangerous to take something that mind-altering. NOT dangerous-to-the-body, but rather, dangerous in what a person might do while under the influence. >>
From what I've read, I've come to the conclusion that strychnine-infected LSD is very rare to come across by. I understand that since you have heard from different sources you arrived at a different conclusion. Is strychnine even potent at 0.1mg? In any case, I do not support the legalization of hallucinagens because they are dangerous to the mind. Not dangerous in the physiological or physical sense, but in the mental sense. Few people are mentally mature enough to take hallucinagens, and many simply cannot handle the things that the mind throws at them. Hallucinagens have the power to mentally scar you for life if you are not prepared for them. They are in a different class altogether from marijuana. On the other hand, I know plenty of immature people who have done psyclobin and are still fine...
