Sure.... I'll be picking up these suckers in bulk once they release a $120 Core i3 variant a few months from now.
Anyone crazy enough to spend $450 on a CPU either has money to burn or hasn't had the opportunity to see their top of the line $2,000 gaming rig get outperformed by a $900 gaming rig a year later.
$280 wasn't bad, considering I'll keep it for quite a while and CPU advances don't happen that much, and my last desktop was 2005? (maybe earlier I'm thinking 2003-4), I think it's ok.
You did good. [ H ]ardOCP clocked their golden 4770K fairly high on this board. :awe:
Ya. When I saw their review on the MSI socket 1155 board, which I think the 1150 is similar too (I just thought I don't really know), I just lost confidence in it. I know they got engineering samples of the 4770k, but I was impressed with the features of the board, and felt better knowing I was getting a board without a large amount of odditities compared to a completely unknown/reviewed board. The Socket 1155 of the MSI had weird boot things with the keyboard/mouse/USB and I have that now with my current mobo and it is annoying as hell. The LAST thing any person wants to do is unplug their mouse, keyboard, etc. just to ATTEMPT to boot into windows, and then have to plug it all back in.
It's just sitting though in a pile of hardware things I bought. I'm picking a case out now though. DS1, DS2, Design Define R4, and 500D. Right now, the Fractal Design is winning, because it's the only one in stock with all my needs haha. I wish I could find the DS1 and DS2. Really impressed with those cases.
