What Distributed Computing is, well it's basically using certain programs to either find aliens, crack 64bit encryption, or find some ruler thingy (hehehe, Assimilator1 is about ready to choke me probably!)

What email addy are you cracking under? And are you flushin to the TA proxy?

Usually team things involve some sort of skill or something. Why should anyone care?? It's not like the other team is better than you, they just have faster computers.

Actually some of these distributed computing projects are very important. The competition between teams is just an added incentive

If you are in TACube you won't have stats under your own email address, it will be combined under RC5@tacube.com. But hopefully you'll be able to find your blocks on the pproxy output by host stats page.

Are you checking under you ip address because when you flush to the proxy it goes under you ip address and not you email address?

I do UD's Cancer project. Someone can steal my CC number all they want, I can dispute the charges. If aliens want to contact me they can knock on my door. Finding a cure for cancer is more important.

You're not showing up in the eMail section of the pproxy with that address, nor are you showing any blocks at Dnet. This means that it is not the ID that you're using.

Open up the dnetc.ini file and see what it says on the first line:

No matter what part of Team AnandTech you devote your spare cpu cycles to - I have to say a great big Thank You for helping to make this a great place to be a member of!
I myself have done the seti thing for over two years now. Recently I traded all my cpus to another member who cracks RC5, and he traded me a quad xeon server for seti. Teamwork is so very cool!
We just 'finished' a major thing in the seti group where we attempted to contact all the old members who seem to have dropped out and ask them why and invite them back. After attempting to contact about 650 members there has not been even one report of anybody taking exception to our efforts. Many were happy to be asked and decided to renew their efforts!
The stories of comraderie and assistance go on forever, it's a really great bunch to be involved with!

Each project has things about it that someone could say are negative, And I DO Mean EACH &amp; EVERY project (UD, RC5, OGR, SETI and all the others) but the cool thing is that you have to respect the right of each induhvidual to devote their cpu cycles to the project of their choice. Even if You think Your project is so much Better, More Meaningful, Rewarding etc... than someone elses.
That members are actually willing to do the work of someone elses project for them in cpu trades just shows the level of commitment to TA that many of us have!

I joined Team Anandtech a few months ago to help regain the #1 spot that we lost to the DPC, but no matter what your distributed computing project you support or choose to support, I'm sure you will find that team spirit helping represent the Anandtech community in these international projects. I mean, we are going up against the world people!

And why should you support us? Same reason we vote HERE, because we want to be the best!

Anyhow, if your interested in RC5, we need ya! We need to rally as a team and take that #1 spot from the DPC! Let's go TeAm!
