I'll get a PS4 just not now. I want to play none of the launch titles on either console but the PS4 is more appealing on price, features, and being more gamer oriented.

Meh. I had a DOA Wii at launch November 19th, 2006. If it happens with a Nintendo console, I almost expect it from the others.

HDMI fragility on expensive TV and consoles is a concern of mine too.

So tempted to get both consoles on launch. Don't think I can afford it though.

Not for at least 3-4 weeks. Both consoles may be susceptible to manufacturing defects that may not surface right away.

Will take a minimum of months to alter manufacturing to resolve any bugs they find in early units.

No not a t launch. The launch titles selection is simply too lackluster and most of the games that do interest me (AC4 , Watch Dogs , BF4) i will play on PC.

I will eventually get a PS4 though , most likely in Spring when EA UFC will come out and when MGS V : Ground Zeroes will be close to release.

Guess that leaves XBO and I'll probably get a Vita for some of the RPGs it's getting and the PS4 integration.

Ill probably end up getting an Xbone but definitely not at launch and not for $500. Ill wait for the $299 model which means Ill probably be waiting for a very long time this generation. $500 is simply too much IMO.

You think it'll get to $300? I don't see that happening for the XB1 until it's almost EOL because of the Kinect and the rest of the living room integration stuff they packed in. I may be wrong but I think the PS4 will settle on that price eventually and the XB1 may be within $50 of it.

I disagree, they will come out with a new version (which may come out at the same price point but drop the older version lower) or neuter it like they have with other revisions and come out at a lower price point because at some point the cost of parts will decrease.

Xbox 360 came out with one configuration at $299 and the lowest still is $199 (I know some stores are lower, but it' not an official release price).

Nope cancelled my amazon preorder for launch version. I will buy it once Watch Dogs and The Division come out.
