Legally...I think that the woman should make her own decision. Everyone has the right to make their own decisions.

However, I think that people have to start bucking up and taking some responsibility for their actions.
If you don't want a baby, take the right precautions and don't get pregnant. Remember, anytime you have sex, there is always a chance of getting pregnant. If you are really not ready for a child. Don't have sex.

So I guess like Dezign, I'm legally pro-choice, but morally pro-life.

I think that everyone should get a choice, but I think you should choose to not get pregnant if you don't want a baby.

Overly simplistic? Maybe...but I don't think. In less than 3 weeks I turn 22. I'm a virgin in large part because I'm not willing to risk pregnancy (or STDs).
It's not impossible, I've done it.

against their will?? only if she was raped... its all about responsibility she chose to have sex.... she should know the risks of doing so.. I'm pro life but there are exceptions.. such as rape and if the mother's life is in danger....

I am pro choice. Politically and morally.

...And what does Kervorkian have to do with this, anyway?

At best, the potential father of a child should have a right to talk to his partner and help her decide, but the final decision is always hers. The woman has to deal with the choices of her decision. Passing laws that stop abortions only means a woman will go find some back alley coat hanger abortonist who will probably nearly kill her. I think if abortion ever comes to a vote, it should be voted on by women only.

whether or not the child comes into this world can affect the male party as much if not more than it does the female... sure the female has to go through the 9 months of pregnancy and however many hours of labor and delivery... and then of course nurturing for however long.... but if the male is wanting and willing to take a responsible father type role in that child's life he's going to be spending 18 years with that child.... say the parents are not married and the male gets the wife pregnant.. he wants the child.. he is willing and able to care for it.. to have the child live with him and everything until he/she is ready to move out.. why is it the mother's choice?? she can choose whether or not she wants to raise her child, but she can't decide that she doesnt want the father to raise the child if she chooses not to... every abortion should be handled case by case... sure thats time consuming, expensive, and confusing.. but its the only way i think.. for now at least...

I am against abortions in nearly every circumstance. Except rape and incest.

But that's my opinion for me as I am pro-choice.

Oh yeah...I forgot about that.

I am not morally against abortion for the victims of sexual assaults. I think those women have been through quite enough without having to have their rapist's child.

But for the rest of them, I think they should be more responsible with what gets put you-know-where.

I believe a womans right to control what goes on in her own body supercedes the rights of a fetus, thus im pro choice. weather or not the woman exercised good judgement by getting pregnant is irrelavent.

I believe that abortion is unjust in most cases, however not illegal. Nor should it be. Pro-choice

i understand the point of view from the people who are pro-choice.. however allow me to share another perspective that may shed some light on why some of us are pro-life...

how can a mother justify neglecting the world of who her child might turn out to be? how can she justify neglecting the people that this child was supposed to bring joy to.. or hope, or love or peace? It is selfish of her not to allow her child to be the blessing to the people's lives that he/she (the child) will be.... what if her child is to be the next martin luther king jr?? or the next Ghandi? or the founder of a cure for cancer? or the next albert einstein?? who knows what this child will do in his/her life.. its not fair or justified for a mother, who made an irresponsible decision to be allowed to rob the world of what this child could become....

i can understand pro-life, but that's not a strong argument imo. it could just as easily be the next hitler, mussolini, osama, dahmer, etc.

My opinion is totally irrelevant. I'm a male so I can't get pregnant. Therefore I will never have to make a decision. Having a say in what somebody else does in this matter is absurd. Naturally also, only pro choice men will have sex with women if there is even a remote chance she will get pregnant and not want to have the child. You can't be pro life and have sex without being a total hypocrite or married and in a relationship where children are wanted. Birth control for you is Russian roulette or involuntary homicide. You know when you have sex that you are willing to murder. Don't cry about it later. Don?t moan and groan about how you should have a say. You have as say. You must not have sex. That's your say, your only say.
