LOL. Who *hasn't* already replaced USPS with FedEx or UPS for sending anything important?

Funny how even with a tax base advantage *AND* not being free to actually use, the USPS is always pleading poverty. Perfect example of govt sucking ass compared to private industry... and so a darling sacred cow to the subservient left.
UPS and FedEx thrive precisely because they get to cherry-pick the most profitable portions of the delivery business. The USPS, on the other hand, must deliver everything to everyone. Further, the USPS is financially handicapped by an onerous pension funding requirement imposed by a Republican Congress, a requirement private sector companies don't have.

Have you ever offered an intelligent thought in your life? Just wondering.
Certainly not here. He's like a yapping little chihuahua, useless noise without substance.

Lol, you think the USPS has an advantage over UPS and fedex?

Perfect example of a stupid conservative substituting ideology for reality.

actually i'd say people who work for the state are pretty fucking smart right about now...

we're in an increasing surveillance/police state, i would imagine working for the state would be one of the best moves one could make in this country now and going forward for a while it seems...

This is the dumbest shit I have read in quite a while. USPS has an insane advantage. If UPS or FedEx lost tons of cash like USPS, they wouldn't get the taxpayer subsidy to stay afloat.

"The USPS has not directly received taxpayer-dollars since the early 1980s with the minor exception of subsidies for costs associated with the disabled and overseas voters"

The USA government is full of lie, corruption and dirty money. It doesn't need to be smart to steal money

Both UPS and Fedex do receive taxpayer subsidy to deliver packages. Also they aren't shackled with the insane pension plan.

So UPS and FedEx could run quarterly losses in the BILLIONS, borrower $15bln from the Federal Reserve (taxpayers), and then stick their hand out and stay afloat?

lol

How much does it cost to send a letter less than 13oz via UPS or FedEx (that doesn't just drop it off to USPS, mind you)? I am going to wager more than $0.49 or whatever a stamp costs these days.
